This study aimed to establish a standardized design framework for mobile disaster alerts as a system for delivering public risk information. Although existing disaster alert systems play a critical role in safeguarding human lives, they often transmit messages without clearly distinguishing between general information and levels of urgency, presenting them with equal visual weight. To address this limitation, the study proposes a user perception–based, visually centered design guideline and an integrated pictogram system.

With the rise of smartphones, mobile icons have evolved from real-world metaphors into an independent visual language shaped by mobile experiences. This study analyzed preloaded smartphone icons from 2007 to 2020 through a semiotic perspective to examine changes in icon communication. The findings reveal that technological, social, and cultural changes continuously influence the meaning and representation of icons.

공공위험 안전 표준기호 및 알림을 위한 모바일 디자인 가이드라인
이 연구는 모바일 재난 알림을 공공위험 정보를 전달하는 표준 디자인 체계 정립을 목표로 진행하였다. 기존 재난 알림 시스템이 사람의 생명과 연결될 중요한 역할을 함에도, 일반정보와 위급도의 구분 없이 동일한 중요도로 전달되고 있었다. 이를 개선하고자, 사용자 인식 기반의 시각 중심 디자인 가이드라인과 픽토그램 체계를 제안하였다.

프로덕트 디자인의 교과목 수립을 위한 기준 연구
스마트폰의 등장 이후 모바일 아이콘은 현실 세계의 사물을 모방하는 메타포에서 벗어나, 모바일 경험 자체를 기반으로 한 독립적인 시각 언어로 발전해 왔다. 본 연구는 2007년부터 2020년까지 스마트폰 프리로드 아이콘을 분석하여 아이콘 커뮤니케이션의 변화 과정을 기호학적 관점에서 탐구하였다. 연구 결과, 기술 발전과 사회·문화적 변화가 아이콘의 의미와 표현 방식에 지속적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
